There was just something about this moment that I want to cherish forever.
As her mom, I am proud
As her friend, I am lucky
As her safe guard, I am prepared
As her helping hand, I am willing
As her role model, I am trying my best
As anything I could be to her, she is so much more to me.
My everything.

Joe has been hard at work on some projects lately, and so has Lala!
The constant wood spray and slightly muffled tool noise surrounding the outside of the house is normal, but the other day I heard it in the playroom.
I came to find my little princess working on the wood pile loaded in there with her own tools.
And the best part, she was using the same tool as Dad.
Ear protection on, the two of them were quite the sight.
Dad invited her out and set up fun things for her to do like: make wood look vintage by roughing it up and hammer nails into scrap wood.

First day of SCHOOL!

Getting ready for the first day we read all the library books we could find on starting school!

A relaxing night before...
Rose petal bubble bath
chocolate sampler platter
strawberries with whipped cream
and books while in the tub.

Lala went to her first day of school in style! Her shirt is Jawbreaking

She dove right into dress up and has every day since!

There is an immense amount of independence for the children. For example, at snack time they serve themselves, ask to pass, pour their water, raise their hands to be excused, and clear their trays.

We love her school! The first week was amazing, she walks around the house singing "I love my school I love my school.." The changes seen in our daughter since she started are incredible. Is it Monday yet?!
